According to a new report by American Express and the National Federation of Independent Businesses, U.S. consumers spent roughly $16.2 billion on Small Business Saturday. This figure represents a 14 percent increase from 2014 when $14.3 billion was spent. About 95 million shoppers visited small businesses in 2015, marking an 8 percent increase from 2014. Meanwhile a National Retail Federation survey conducted by Prosper Insights & Analytics is was predicting 121 million shoppers for Cyber Monday. This is a decrease from last year when 126.9 million planned to participate.
