Real estate developer Speedwell bought the logistics center in the Pipera area owned by the Greek group Atlas Corporation.
The logistics center, which had a storage area of about 24,000 sqm, was built on a plot of 85,000 sqm.In 2018, Atlas sold a first piece of land, approximately 20,000 sqm, to Akcent Development, which developed the Cloud9 residential complex with 820 apartments on the site. Later, the same investor also paid Atlas about EUR 17.5 million, for a piece of land of about 35,000 sqm that comes in addition to Cloud9. Thus, the residential complex will be expanded with another 1,300 apartments. Now Speedwell has bought the rest of the land, with an area of 28,500 sqm, on which there are 10 buildings, mainly warehouses, with an area of about 11,000 sqm. The price of the transaction can be estimated at around EUR 14 million.
The Belgian developer has already started the authorization process for the construction of 3 building complexes with the functions of offices, homes and a hospital and with a maximum height of 14 floors. Real estate sources say the back of the land will be sold by Speedwell to the Regina Maria Medical Network, which will build a new hospital.
