The Greek clothing retailer Sprider sold its Romanian subsidiary, Sprider Stores SRL, to Naqua Investments Ltd for €640,000.
Sprider’s Romanian stores reported €3.2m in losses last year. The company has reported a growing profit loss for the past five years.
Sprider isn’t the only retailer, however, that’s announced plans to leave the Romanian market recently.
Last month, the French clothing company Kiabi, which opened its first store here in 2009, said it was also packing its bags. Kiabi is currently looking for partners to take over its six stores in Romania.
