The Belgrade Land Development Public Agency has sold a 3.2 ha plot of land to the company Stihl for €2.8m in a public tender. The plot is located near a highway on the road leading to the Airport Nikola Tesla. The plot can be used for the development of industrial, production or commercial facilities.
City Manager Goran Vesic said the involvement of Stihl will improve the value of the surrounding land, where there’s currently a wholesale market and customs terminal. The sale is an indication that Belgrade land continues to be attractive for investors. Stihl manufactures handheld power equipment and chainsaws and already has operations in Serbia. The company will have to pay contributions for land development and landscaping as part of the construction permit process.
