Stokrotka to open 50 new stores this year

26 March 2014

In effort to increase its turnover to PLN 2bn, the Polish grocery chain Stokrotka plans to add up to 50 new stores to its network this year. The strategy involves developing a network of franchise operators to oversee the new locations, as well as introducing a new format. “We’ll expand our chain by adding a new store concept ranging from 200 sqm to 400 sqm,” said Krzysztof Trojanowski of Stokrotka. He said that 30 new stores should go online this year.

At the same time, the company will be improving its existing portfolio, with many of its current stores slated for modernization and reconstruction this year.
