Tattersall Lorenz, the owner-managed SME property manager based in Berlin, has been appointed by Sonar Real Estate to carry out the property management of the “Roxy Palast” in Berlin.
Sonar (then still Barings) acquired the historic 1930 building, at Hauptstrasse 78/79 in Berlin-Friedenau, in 2017. The acquisition, on behalf of a German institutional investor, was in the framework of an individual value-add instruction. The listed building has since been completely refurbished and fully let. The main tenant, occupying a lettable area of some 2,900 sqm, is the BBA – Akademie der Immobilienwirtschaft e.V. The former cinema on the ground floor is now an 1,100 sqm retail unit, to be occupied by LPG Bio Markt on a long lease. The tenant mix is complemented by the coworking operator Sankt Oberholz, which occupies large areas of the first floor and the newly created studio in the former theatre fly tower.
Eiko Görs, the manager of Tattersall Lorenz’s Berlin office, comments: “We are very proud that Sonar has instructed us to carry out the commercial and technical property management of this historic property. We are looking forward to the collaboration and are highly motivated for our team to deliver the optimal results for smooth and problem-free management of the property.
