Tauron will implement a wind project with an estimated value of PLN 500 million

Tauron Polska Energia has agreed to the acquisition by the subsidiary Tauron Zielona Energia of 100% shares in a special purpose vehicle with the rights to a project to build a wind farm with a capacity of approx. 60 MW, located in the north-west of Poland said Tauron. The total capital expenditure related to the acquisition and implementation of this investment will amount to approximately PLN 500 million.

The construction of the Mierzyn wind farm, in accordance with the adopted assumptions, will be completed by the end of 2024. The total capital expenditure related to the acquisition and implementation of this investment will amount to approximately PLN 500 million. Currently, the wind farm construction project is in the ready-to-build phase, it was announced.

The group has nine wind power plants with a total capacity of over 380 MW, 34 hydropower plants with a capacity of 132 MW and three photovoltaic power plants with a capacity of 19 MW. By 2025, Tauron plans to have 1,600 MW of installed capacity from renewable energy sources.

Tauron Polska Energia is a holding company in the capital group that deals with coal mining, production, distribution and sale of electricity and heat.
