Tesco deciding fate of MY department store in Bratislava

8 March 2018

Tesco, which has been selling off real estate in recent months in the Czech Republic, is refusing to comment on the fate of its MY department store in downtown Bratislava. The magazine Trend claims that the British retailer is preparing to dispose of the landmark building. However, the news service TASR was unable to get the company to confirm or deny the reports. “At the moment, we’re in the process of negotiating about the specific plans for the building and we will inform our employees first and after that the public,” said the company’s spokeswoman. Trend Reality claims that the developer Lordship has made a bid for the building. Lordship already owns the Kyjev hotel next door to the department store on Kamenneho Square.
