Tesco Hungary collects 153 tons of food for poor

Tesco Hungary collected 153 tons of food for the homeless as part of the the Hungarian Food Bank Association’s Christmas Shopping initiative. With the assistance of 2,780 volunteers, Tesco collected 381,888 food items, worth HUF 65m, from donation drives at 156 Tesco stores across the country. Tesco also donated HUF 15m to the Hungarian Food Bank Association. The two companies have been cooperating since 2013.
