Tesco is looking for a new head of operations in Central Europe, according to the daily Financial Times. Gordon Fryett, who currently holds the position, is retiring. Tesco is making the new hire a top priority, as the region is one of the core markets for the British retailer, whose operations have been deeply affected by the eurozone’s current slowdown.
Tesco has stores in Ireland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, as well as Thailand, China, South Korea and Malaysia.
