Tesco is planning to add a shopping mall to its hypermarket in Bratislava’s Petržalka district. The company applied for a planning permit for the project, which was initially conceived in 2011. Designed by Ivan Kočan, the mall was originally supposed to add 8,600 sqm of retail space in 48 units. Tesco wanted to build on a 2.9 ha site which formerly served as a parking lot. The investor promised to build parking for 160 cars. Trend Reality writes that McDonald’s recently applied for a construction permit to build its restaurant on the site, a step that was followed by Tesco applying for a construction permit.
