The first locations for Mere markets in Serbia were purchased

14 December 2020

The Russian retail chain Svetofor, known in European countries under the Mere brand, has begun to expand on the Serbian market. The Russian associate in Serbia has bought the first locations across the country where it plans to officially start business. As it was announced in August from the branch of the Russian company in Belgrade, it is planned to open at least 100 markets on the Serbian market with an average area of about 1,000 sqm. It is stated that they plan to work directly with producers, with strict quality control and a low trade margin, and they also pointed out that their prices will be 20% lower than the average.

Mere is an affiliate of the Russian Torgservis Group, founded in 2009, which currently operates in more than 800 locations across Russia under the Svetofor brand.
