Miami-based electronics retailer TigerDirect has announced that it will close all of its stores and move its entire business on-line. Systemex, the parent company, announced the move after reporting that its brick and mortar locations were struggling and that its online activities will focus on supplying businesses directly. Nearly all of its 35 sites–including a distribution center–will be closed. The company anticipates losses of $55 million in exit and severance costs, and has brought in Gordon Brothers to assist with the closings.
