Tatry Mountain Resorts (TMR), a member of J&T Group, is finalizing its acquisition of a 75-percent share in Slonskie Wesoly Miasteczko, the operator of the largest entertainment park in Poland. TMR will pay PLN 30m for the majority share and will invest an additional PLN 120m into renovating the park, located just outside Chorzów. TMR will take over operations of the park starting in May and will have the option to buy the remaining 25-percent stake in Slonskie Wesoly Miasteczko in five years. The 26 ha park opened in 1959. Around 200,000 people visit the park annually. TMR also operates Tatralandia, the largest aquapark in Slovakia as well as a few ski resorts in the High and Low Tatras.
