The Nhood Services Poland project team has completed the first stage of work on the new Mikołów Park development. A lump of modern retail park topped by a roof structure is already standing at 2 Cieszyńska Street. A topping-out ceremony for the building was held on 22 May. It was attended by representatives of the investor, the general contractor and all those cooperating with the investment.
Mikołów Park is the first retail park facility that the Nhood Services Poland team is working on. The modern retail facility with an area of 5,400 GLA, together with the nearby Auchan Mikołów Shopping Centre, will create a strong retail point in the region. The construction of the investment is proceeding according to schedule. An important stage of the investment, i.e. the closing of the structure with the roof, has just been completed. This moment was celebrated with the traditional topping out ceremony.
“Topping out has been a tradition in the construction industry for hundreds of years. Working methods and technology have changed over this time, but with this event we are celebrating the completion of a key stage of construction and we want to thank all the companies and people involved in the project. For Mikołów Park and everyone associated with this project, this is an important moment that symbolises the upcoming opening of the retail park,” says Marcin Wawiernia, Project Manager / Design & Concept Manager at Nhood Services Poland, responsible for the Mikołów Park project.
The topping-out ceremony on 22 May was attended by representatives of Nhood Services Poland, which acts as the project’s replacement investor, representatives of the general contractor Infine, as well as the designer VideStudio, and inspectors from Building Support.
Work on the façade of Mikołów Park will begin later this month. These will be followed by finishing work on its interior. The project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2024. The facility has attracted strong interest from tenants and has currently achieved 86 per cent commercialisation of the retail space. Among the tenants of the Mikołów Park space will be Sinsay, Drogeria dm, Martes Sport, Maxi Zoo, TEDi, Media Expert and Inmedio with its SmaczneGO concept. The commercialisation team of Nhood Services Poland is finalising agreements for the remaining retail space of Mikołów Park.
Mikołów Park will use a number of sustainable solutions, including renewable energy sources, a PV installation along with an energy bank. There are plans to plant 30 trees and shrubs throughout the complex, while the facades on selected parts will be covered with climbing greenery.
The project is being carried out by the Nhood Services Poland design team on behalf of Ceetrus Polska, which owns the property in Mikołów. The general contractor for the construction work is Infine.
