The Czech DIY retail chain Uni Hobby is planning to start its own e-shop. Company head Miroslav Res told Hospodářské noviny that the e-shop will launch next spring and, unlike other DIY chains in the Czech Republic, will offer a home delivery option. Hornbach, for example, allows buyers to order goods online, which then must be collected at a store. Uni Hobby’s home delivery option will be limited to products that are up to two meters in length and no more than 50 kg. Res added that the retailer also plans to make its prices more competitive and expand its network of stores. It plans to open one new store every year, an investment valued at CZK 150m.
