Vulcan Lands has closed on the purchase of a 44 acre tract of land for $1.85 million in Elizabeth City, NC. The property at 174 Knobbs Creek Drive has been occupied by Vulcan for over 30 years, and it offers direct rail service to their quarry in West Virginia. Gerald S. Divaris, Chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, represented the seller W.W. Owens & Sons Moving and Storage. Vulcan is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates, primarily crushed stone, sand and gravel. It employs over 7,000 people in 19 states and most of the infrastructure of the US is paved with with their product.
