Warburg-HIH Invest acquired a fully-occupied 1,908 sqm commercial building in the city of Bonn. The property has undergone two recent renovations once in 2013 and again this year. The building’s primary tenant is a L’Osteria franchise restaurant, which occupies 1,200 sqm on a newly agreed fixed-term lease of twelve years. Overall, the leases result in an exceptionally long WALT of 10.3 years. “A number of property developments near the central railway station of Bonn will cause the prime high-street area in the adjacent pedestrian precinct to be repositioned upon completion,” said Jens Nagelsmeier, Head of Retail Transactions at Warburg-HIH Invest. The sale was brokered by Colliers International Deutschland, with Loschelder advising the vendor on legal matters. The buyer’s legal advisor was Ashurst, while it worked with Consulting Partners Hamburg on technical matters.
