Construction is poised to break ground soon on a new wind farm near Livno, western Bosnia. Costs are expected to hit €75m. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Yuksel Guler, the general director of Enprode and Pero Vrdoljak from Imres Smart. The first phase of the project, to go up near the Croatian border, will feature a 100 MW wind farm with 16 turbines, followed by a 100 MW hydroelectric power plant in the second phase. The project, expected to impact energy prices on the local market, will provide services to energy companies in the EU. Completion is scheduled in three years.
