The Wittchen Group has launched its own e-store in the Austrian market after the brand started selling there in cooperation with popular marketplaces in 2023, the company reported. It also plans to open stationary shops in the Austrian capital and in Germany.
Austria is the sixth foreign European market where the Wittchen Group has launched its own e-store, after Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Ukraine, while the Wittchen range is available on marketplace platforms in 23 European countries, it stated.
“We are diversifying our revenue sources and sales channels with an emphasis on full omnichannel. In recent months, we have successfully expanded our activity in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. We launched our first stationary shops in Bratislava and Bucharest, in prestigious locations. We are now taking the next step by opening our own e-store in the Austrian market, which fits perfectly with our strategy. We see great sales potential in German-speaking countries, where we want to gradually increase our presence. Germany is already our largest foreign market,” said the company’s CEO Jedrzej Wittchen.
“This year, we plan to open stationary shops in Austria and Germany. Vienna is visited in large numbers by tourists from all over the world and is one of Europe’s most attractive fashion markets. I am delighted that our collection is already available to Austrian customers,” he added.
The group is following a three-step strategy to enter new foreign markets – at the beginning it relies on external marketplace platforms and brand awareness building. In the next step, it launches its own online shop and then opens a stationary shop (showroom) in selected locations in the country, the company reported.
Currently, the Wittchen Group has a total of more than 100 stationary shops in Poland with the Wittchen or Wittchen Travel logo. The group also has its own shops in the Czech Republic (7 outlets), Hungary (3 shops) and Ukraine (10 franchised outlets), and more recently also in Slovakia and Romania, it reported.
