World Bank estimates Romanian economy will grow by 3.5% this year

The World Bank estimates that Romania’s economy will grow by 3.5% this year and 4.1% in 2022, according to an analysis made by Banca Transilvania, which cites the first edition of the bank’s global macroeconomic report in 2021.
Regarding the risks to the real economy in the next period, the World Bank mentions the possibility of intensification of the pandemic, delays in the vaccination process, stronger impact of the health crisis on the potential GDP dynamics and deterioration of financial assets in the context of high indebtedness and the slow pace of economic growth.
