XXXLutz takes over Kika stores on Wednesday

18 August 2020

The Austrian furniture company XXXLutz will officially open seven new stores on Wednesday. XXXLutz bought the Kika chain of furniture stores last year in a move that will allow it to be present in every region of the Czech Republic. The newest additions to its current network of stores are in Prague Cestlice, Letnany, Pilsen, Ostrava, Liberec, Ceske Budejovice and in Olomouc. The name Kika will be kept at the store in Stodulky and in Brno because XXXLutz already has stores in the same neighborhood at those locations. “Our goal is to be number one in every country and in every location where we operate,” said the company’s executive Walter Muller. In the Czech Republic, that will requiring overhauling IKEA and Jysk.
