Yeme opening new store in Bratislava

17 March 2017

Yeme is planning to open its second store in Bratislava by the end of March in an area called Horský Park. The store will cover 250 sqm, a much smaller format compared to the 1,000 sqm supermarket Yeme opened in space formerly occupied by Ikea. The new store will focus on offering fresh groceries and will also feature a small cafe and bakery. The store will have 30 employees, 14 parking spots and five cash desks. Yeme is planning to open its third store, called Yeme City, at Panorama City near the city’s new national theatre this fall. In this location, Yeme will target business people by offering coffee, baguettes, salads and yogurts for lunch, says the chain’s owner, Peter Varmuža, adding that he wants to focus on quality and not on fast expansion. Yeme focuses on fresh groceries from local farmers and bakes its own pastries. The new brand was established last year by former Tesco and Delvita employees.
