Romanian retailer Zanfir Supermarket has taken over two Carrefour stores in Braila. When Carrefour took over the Billa retail chain, it made a commitment to the Competition Council that it would give up three stores to other supermarket operators in Braila: two Carrefour Market and one Billa.
Carrefour Romania operates a network of 289 stores: 32 Carrefour hypermarkets, 117 supermarkets, 43 Express convenience stores, 10 Contact convenience stores, 86 Billa stores and an online store.
