The parcel delivery company Zásilkovna is cooperating with the largest Czech online retailer about using its network of AlzaBox lockers as a safer way of completing deliveries. Zásilkovna, which has only begun building a home delivery network, delivers orders from Czech eshops to hundreds of smaller shops around the country, where customers can pick them up. The pandemic crisis has closed many of these shops. “At the moment we’re strengthening our delivery network, but we’re looking for other sensible solutions, which is why using the technology of the market leader is something we see as very positive,” said Zasilkovná’s director Simona Kijonková. She said the customer simply chooses an AlzaBox when selecting the delivery method and that the price will be the same. At the moment, only a couple of AlzaBox locations in Prague are available for the service, but this is expected to expand over the next two weeks.
