Developers plan to complete 33 retail parks in the Czech market in 2015. This would bring the total number of retail parks to 200, according to Cushman & Wakefield’s recently published map of retail parks in the Czech Republic. Jiří Kristek, head of retail parks at Cushman & Wakefield, says there are currently 169 retail parks on the Czech market, offering 800,000 sqm of retail space. 750,000 sqm of the total is leased and 54,000 sqm is still vacant. Across the country, 115 shopping centers offer a total of 2,500,000 sqm of retail space, with a further 220,000 sqm of shopping on tap at high street stores.
