Echo Investment broke ground on the second phase of its Outlet Park Szczecin. Due for completion in the fourth quarter, the investment will add 5,000 sqm of GLA to the outlet facility, with Eresco overseeing the ground work. Following the expansion, the project will offer 21,300 sqm of commercial space in 100 retail and service units.
Michał Banasik, leasing manager for Echo’s retail center department, said the company has already signed Diverse for 340 sqm of space, as well as Poland’s top footwear retailer CCC (1,000 sqm) and HEBE drugstore (400 sqm). Talks with Simple are expected to close soon. “Our focus will be women’s fashion, with talks with Monnari, Gerry Weber, Molton, Bialcon and Volcano already underway,” Banasik says, adding that he also expects one on Poland’s top retailers to take 600 sqm in the project. “We see strong interest coming from tenants satisfied with the performance of the project’s first phase,” he adds. Footfall in the project was nearly 2.5 million visitors last year, making Outlet Park Szczecin Poland’s fourth most-visited project.
