Elbfonds Development has acquired a 30,000 sqm plot of land in the city of Szczecin to build a new retail park that will bring 10,500 sqm of new space to the local market. At this stage of the project, the investor has disclosed there is a hypermarket, a DIY store and some smaller retail units planned for the park. Construction work on the scheme is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2013. Elbfonds aims to create 40 retail facilities in Poland within next four years, and plans to spend €500m in the process.
