In response to the tragic events taking place in Ukraine, Aflofarm Farmacja Polska started to provide assistance in the field of financial, pharmacological and psychological assistance. The first drug shipments departed from Pabianice on Thursday.
“As a family business, we are not indifferent to the situation of families affected by the war – that’s why we decided to donate PLN 500,000 financial support for humanitarian aid for Ukraine. We hope that this money will help the victims in a real way. We also decided to organize a large-scale pharmacological help, which will include drugs and medical devices. At the moment, we have planned to hand over more thank 70,000 packags,” says Jacek Furman, president of the management board of Aflofarm.
The first transport with medical aid left Pabianice on Thursday. Another transport, containing 23 thousand. prescription drug is being prepared. The value of provided medical assistance is over PLN 500,000. zlotys.
The donation of funds and pharmacological help is not the only activity undertaken by the pharmaceutical manufacturer from Pabianice. The company also decided to:
– suspending cooperation with Russia and Belarus, including stopping the shipment of goods that have already been produced for the needs of the Belarusian market, and
– cancellation of the audit with the Ministry of Health of Belarus scheduled for the current week.
The company is also trying to prepare new jobs for refugees from Ukraine.
“We are in constant contact with the City of Łódź Office, we participate in meetings linking medical assistance within the Governmental Agency for Strategic Reserves. The employees of Aflofarm also joined in helping the refugees. Material collections were organized in all locations of the company. The collected gifts will be given to families and children from Ukraine who have already found shelter in Polish homes and aid centers,” says Furman.
In these difficult times, the company has not forgotten about its employees, offering free psychological support to all those in need – especially to those for whom current events are a personal tragedy. Employees from Ukraine can also count on special help, the company supports family members fleeing the war by offering help in finding a place to stay.
Ukrainian employees can also count on specific financial assistance, as Aflofarm is preparing to make a donation of PLN 2,000 to each of its Ukrainian employees so that they can send them to their relatives in Ukraine or use them to bring their families to Poland.
“According to our slogan on a daily basis, “We stand for health”, but today each of Aflofarm’s employees also stands on the side of Ukraine,” adds Jacek Furman.
