Czech prime minister’s idea for an Apple store location

28 January 2019

The Czech delegation attending the Davos economic summit met up with high-tech business leaders in an attempt to show the world how forward thinking the country is. Prime minister Andrej Babiš said that Czechs want access to new technology products as quickly as the rest of the world, after a meeting with Apple’s CEO Tim Cook. For this reason, he said, it would be good for the 10th European country to have an original Apple store. Babiš even tried his hand as a real estate agent, suggesting that the Ministry for Regional Development building on Old Town Square would be a great location. On a more practical note, the delegation claims to have received a promise from IBM that it would be creating an artificial intelligence hub in Prague.
