The Polish grocery chain Alma Market expects to close 2012 with a 5-percent increase in sales. The operator also announced plans to introduce a new concept called Food&Joy to the Polish market in 2013. Food&Joy convenience stores will have sales areas of up to 400 sqm.
Alma posted PLN 1.117bn in revenues during the first nine months of the year, up from PLN 1.017bn it reported during the same period in 2011. The company’s operating profits also increased over the period to PLN 7.43m, from PLN 6.87m the previous year.
