Turnover for Czech e-shops is expected to exceed CZK 96bn this year, which would mark a 19 percent increase over 2015, according to a study released by Heureka.cz and the Association for Eletronic Commerce. Significantly, the number of e-shops has decreased from 37,000 two years ago, to 36,200. The most common way customers access e-shops is through mobile devices. The most common items to buy on-line continues to be mobile telephones, laptops and tablets. Besides the country’s largest on-line shops like mall.cz and Alza.cz, 15 percent of all on-line shoppers also shop at specialized on-line retailers to buy books, movies and games.
