Dante International, which owns eMAG.ro, one of the largest e-retailers on the Romanian market, is planning to take over Polish online giant Agito. Dante has already submitted a request to the Council of Competition and Consumer Protection in Poland and expects to secure a takeover agreement in the first quarter of this year. The value of the impending deal was not disclosed.
Agito was founded in 2002 as an online electronics store and is currently one of the biggest online stores in Poland. Dante International is controlled by the South African group Naspers and Iulian Stanciu.
