Dedeman will open a new, 12,000 sqm store in Bistrita, a city in northern Romania. This will be the DIY retailer’s 30th store in the country and the fourth it opens this year.
The €10m investment, is set to open just two months after Dedeman opened a store in the southern city of Slatina. Dedeman also opened stores in Constanta, Ramnicu and Valcea this year.
Dedeman brought in €475m last year, an increase of 28 percent compared to 2010. It hopes to increase its turnover by 10 percent this year, according to Wall Street.ro. By 2015, the company plans to have 45 stores operating in Romania.
