In Stuttgart today, ECE is opening Milaneo, a new 43,000 sqm shopping mall offering 200 specialist stores. It’s part of a brownfield development called Europvertel being built on the site of a former freight train station adjacent to the city center. Included in this new district is a new city library on Mailänder Platz which was completed in 2011. In the next phase of the area’s development, due for completion in 2015, a new hotel with 165 rooms, 415 apartment and office space will be opened.
Popular brand names such as Primark, Zara Home, Pull & Bear, Bershka,
the Polish fashion retailer Reserved and organic food specialist tegut will debut in the fully-leased Milaneo in Stuttgart. H&M, Zara, Vero Moda and Jack & Jones will each open its biggest store in Stuttgart, while Mango will operate its largest store in Germany in the center. Milaneo was awarded the prestigious “MIPIM Award” as “Best Futura Mega Project” on the real estate show in Cannes in 2013.
