The city of Prague wants the Kotva department store in Prague 1 to be classified as a cultural monument. The application should be submitted to the Culture Ministry in two weeks, writes the server lidovky.cz. The owner, Irish Markland, is working on the sale of the 1970s building together with the Irish national property fund NAMA. The first attempt to proclaim Kotva a cultural monument came in 2007.
