Lordship will hold an international competition for a new design of Bratislava’s Kamenné Square. The competition will be held in cooperation with Tesco, which also owns land on the square. Juraj Šaštinský, a partner at Lordship, told etrend.sk the two-round competition will be launched this fall. The City of Bratislava still has to approve the conditions of the competition. The architect Ingrid Konrad will oversee the process. Changes to the master plan for the area will be submitted on the basis of the competition’s results. Tesco and Lordship signed a cooperation agreement on the redevelopment of Kamenné Square in February. The new buildings should be 30 percent residential and 70 percent retail and services. There will be underground parking, and the new design should connect Kamenne Square with surrounding streets through traditional arcade passageways.
