Marks & Spencer said it is planning to exit Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Bulgaria next year. The UK chain operates 12 stores in the SEE region. The downsizing will begin in January and continue over the year.
M&S has three stores in Bulgaria, two in Sofia and one in Bourgas. The retailer also operates five stores in Croatia, two in Serbia, one in Slovenia and one in Montenegro.
M&S closed its stores at the AFI Cotroceni and Sun Plaza shopping centers in Bucharest and opened a new, larger store at the city’s Mega Mall.
