Retailer Mega Image has invested EUR 25 million in refurbishing and modernising of its stores and warehouses. The investment is part of a large process that will continue in the coming years.
So far, the Mega Image chain operated by the Dutch-Belgian Ahold Delhaize group has refurbished 140 of the 975 stores it operates nationwide. The changes involve bringing in new equipment, automating some processes to continuously monitor the operational activity of each unit and training staff.
“We will continue to work with the authorities to provide customers with the best products and services. We regularly review procedures and the frequency of maintenance and sanitation operations so that the products sold in our stores are safe and of high quality. We assure our customers that we have implemented additional health and food safety measures for a safe and pleasant shopping experience,” says Mircea Moga, CEO Mega Image.
