Tesco will reduce its 2.967 million sqm Polish network by 38,000 sqm over the next six months, according to the company’s 2014 report. Tesco’s Polish network includes 449 hyper- and supermarkets. The UK retailer already shut 13 centers in Poland between 2013 and 2014 but opened seven new locations. The same policy will be implemented in the Czech Republic and Turkey, while its network in Slovakia expanded by 13,700 sqm.
