Companies associated in the Association of Polish Trade and Service Employers (ZPPHiU) expect the government to confirm its announcements and create conditions for them to open stores on February 1, the Association announced.
“Among the representatives of companies associated in the Association of Polish Trade and Service Employers, there is a belief that the last lockdown will end on January 31. The last one, because the industry will not survive any more, and there are no rational reasons to extend the suspension of companies operating in shopping centers”, read in the press release.
“We treat the opening of our stores as a natural consequence of the government’s declarations to date regarding the date of loosening trade restrictions. We expect the government to responsibly confirm its announcements and create conditions for us to open stores on February 1 and start to realistically make up for last year’s and this year’s losses. parties, all the conditions necessary for the safe opening of stores in shopping centers have been met “- wrote the management board of ZPPHiU.
Employers are convinced that their points located in shopping centers can be opened safely and for the benefit of companies, their employees, business partners and the entire business ecosystem of dependencies that have been disturbed by subsequent lockdowns. Traders expect the government to create the conditions for the legal opening of their stores and assume that the restrictions will be lifted by January 31, 2021, according to ZPPHiU.
“Trade is safe. We present reliable arguments that trading in shopping centers under the covid regime does not pose any risks. We have committed many measures to implement and comply with the DDM rules. We follow all procedures and take care of the highest standard of safety and hygiene. The December opening had no impact. We are deeply convinced that our stores are at least as safe as the hitherto open large-format supermarkets, furniture stores or those with decorative articles, etc. ” – ZPPHiU summed up.
Union representatives announce that on February 1, their stores in shopping centers “can and should” be opened without compromising the safety of customers. Employees are prepared, stores are stocked, and all procedures related to compliance with the sanitary regime are implemented and meticulously. They are also convinced that due to the continued closure of food court zones and rest areas, as well as cinemas and fitness centers, the number of visitors will not exceed 60% of that recorded in the same period last year.
The Association of Polish Trade and Service Employers unites over 150 companies, employing over 205,000 employees.
