Polregio trains are to be free for Ukrainian citizens throughout the country. The company announced that it is in the process of making detailed arrangements with the Marshal’s Offices, on the order of which it carries out transport.
Polregio is also prepared to hand over modified 120A carriages to help people evacuated from the Ukrainian border, including sick people who need to travel lying down. In addition, the company is prepared to launch shuttle trains on the route from Dorohusk to Lublin and from Przemyśl / Medyka to Krakow, if such a decision is made at the level of the authorized ministry. From the point of view of Ukrainian citizens, extending the connection on the section Medyka – Przemyśl is crucial to facilitate the movement of refugees immediately after crossing the border with Poland, it was reported.
“The dramatic situation in Ukraine means that we cannot pass by these events indifferently. Therefore, in agreement with the Marshals of the Provinces, we are launching additional free trains for Ukrainian citizens, so that they can move safely from the areas affected by the war,” said President of Polregio Artur Martyniuk.
